The Shelby County Coroner’s Office said deputies found that the door had been forced open. Inside the home, deputies found the bodies of 40-year-old Jessica Hager and 42-year-old Michael Rahmlow.
The Shelby County Coroner’s Office (SCCO) told FOX 56 that Hager was shot and killed before the Rahmlow reportedly turned the gun on himself.
Rahmlow, Hager, and her husband, all knew each other, per law enforcement. Rahmlow had allegedly traveled to Kentucky from Wisconsin. According to the SCCO, Hager was also from there.
Authorities said that the three had an argument and that Hager’s husband “escaped through the back door to get help.” He walked away uninjured.
A witness at the scene told FOX 56 what he saw.
“There was 11 police cars over here, and I don’t know where all they were from. They had them lined up. She was a fantastic person, I didn’t care much for her husband,” said Dallas Kelly.
A GoFundMe was set up for Jessica, which says that she was originally from Wrightstown.
