Winter Weather Advisory: Frigid start, snowy end to Friday

The Northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

It was definitely a relief to see quieter conditions this afternoon after accumulating quite a bit of snowfall yesterday!

Mostly clear skies will continue into tonight.

Gusty winds did follow behind our snowy system which brought in some cold temps for today. Overnight, while winds do ease, wind chill values will drop anywhere from about 10 to 20 degrees below 0 to begin Friday. Luckily our winds turn and move back in out of the southwest which will bring in a small warmup to begin the weekend.

Our next snowy system is developing into the Pacific tonight, but will bring in increasing clouds tomorrow morning ahead of another round of accumulating snowfall. This snow will become likely heavy Friday night into early Saturday, so a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for that time frame.

As of now, it’s expected to see a range of about 4-8″ for snow accumulation statewide for this Valentine’s evening storm with light snow continuing through early Sunday morning.

Behind this system, gusty winds push in arctic air for most of next week.
