KIMBERLY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Fox Valley Metro Police Department has released further details regarding the incident that occurred in the area of Kimberly Ave and Pine Street.
According to the Fox Valley Metro Police Department, once personnel arrived at the scene, they learned an adult victim had been stabbed and another person was inside the residence with a knife.
They say the person who was armed with the knife had also been injured and was refusing to cooperate with authorities.
The Outagamie County Law Enforcement Emergency Response (ERT) team had to then be called in due to how dangerous the situation had become.
For hours, police attempted to contact the armed person and instruct them to exit the residence. The suspect did not comply and droves were deployed to get better information regarding the status of the victim.
Law enforcement says they were able to develop probable cause that the suspect had committed a crime and a warrant was obtained.
Around 3:41 p.m., police reportedly made it inside the residence as a K9 unit was deployed. A 38-year-old male was then taken into custody. Multiple criminal charges have yet to be released.
The victim, an adult female, was treated for multiple stab wounds and is in stable condition.

KIMBERLY, Wis. (WFRV) – The person involved in an active incident in Kimberly is reportedly in custody.
According to the Fox Valley Metro Police Department, the situation in the area of Kimberly Avenue and Pine Street has been resolved. The person was reportedly taken into custody.
Officials say there is no further threat regarding this incident. However, law enforcement will stay on the scene for ‘several’ hours as part of the investigation.
The public is asked to stay away from the scene. No additional information was provided.

KIMBERLY, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple agencies are on the scene of an ‘incident’ in Kimberly.
Authorities are on the scene of Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. The Fox Valley Metro Police Department tells Local 5 that officers are at an ‘incident’.
It appears that multiple agencies are on the scene. A SWAT-style armored vehicle was seen on camera.
The Fox Valley Metro Police Department provided an update around 1:30 p.m. saying it is an active tactical situation with someone who is barricaded.
Authorities say the person is believed to be armed with a weapon. Residents are asked to avoid the area.

Local 5 had a person at the scene. There was no information regarding the details of the incident.
The Kimberly School District said that as of 11 a.m., the 4K Center, Mapleview Intermediate and Parkview entered a ‘soft lockdown’ at the recommendation of the Metro Police Department.
All students are reportedly safe and schools will continue with their regular schedule.
