KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – The Appleton Police Department says that on Wednesday, they arrested a teacher at a Kaukauna Catholic school on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
On April 23, Appleton resident and a teacher at St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy in Kaukauna, Collin Killoren, was arrested after an ongoing investigation.
Officers say the case started from an online tip received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and during the investigation, Killoren was identified as a suspect.

It was noted in the release that there is no evidence to suggest that any children from the school were harmed.
In a release on Wednesday from St. Ignatius Catholic School, it was stated that Killoren was a 7-12 grade teacher of Logic, Philosophy, and Debate, and his personal devices were confiscated by authorities.
St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy officials are cooperating with authorities and Mr. Killoren was immediately placed on administrative leave. This is the first we are hearing of any issues surrounding Mr. Killoren. He passed all background and reference checks during the hiring process.

Killoren was taken into custody without incident, and the investigation remains active. He is being held at the Calumet County Jail.
