Spring-like weather for the next three days

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Nice, spring-like weather in the state of Wisconsin for the next few days as temperatures continue to warm up! Highs will be pushing 20 to 30 degrees warmer than our normal high of 39 degrees.

Fair conditions are expected for tonight’s Total Lunar Eclipse where the moon will turn red! This happens as the Earth’s shadow is cast upon the moon. The moon will take on a red appearance from 1:26 AM to 2:31 AM. Maximum eclipse at 1:58 AM. If you miss it, another total eclipse will happen about this time next year.

Right behind that lunar eclipse, a warm front early Friday could set off an isolated rain shower as the day begins, but many will not get wet from that rain. Additional rain or thunderstorms will roll through late Friday night/early Saturday morning – this will be between midnight into Saturday before sunrise. During this time, some rain showers with gusty winds and lightning may be noted, but the severe weather threat is not that high.

Windy weather on Saturday as gusts approach 40 to 45 miles per hour! The day will not be a washout, but some additional hit/miss rain could be the area around mid-day and the afternoon.

Dropping temperatures along a cold front Sunday morning could produce some scattered morning snow showers. Accumulations will be minor, underneath an inch, for those who get snow. Sunday will also have gusty winds during the day, but not quite as strong as Saturday.
