(WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac County say a 25-year-old woman is in custody following a 6.6-mile pursuit Thursday morning that reached speeds of up to 120mph.

Due to the excessive speed, the pursuit was called off, however, reports continued to come in about the suspect vehicle as they kept driving on I-41 South at speeds over 100mph and were reportedly seen showing signs of impairment when they began weaving between lanes.

With the suspect vehicle continuing to head south, Fond du Lac County deputies set up on I-41 near the Fond du Lac and Winnebago County line.

One deputy saw the vehicle going 110mph before ignoring the deputy’s emergency lights continuing to speed off and eventually reaching up to 120mph.

Officials say they were able to successfully deploy a Stop Stick tire deflation device that the vehicle hit but kept speeding on until a second Stop Stick was deployed by the Wisconsin State Patrol eventually leading to the vehicle stopping on I-41 at County Highway OO with three deflated tires.

Following the 6.6-mile pursuit, a 25-year-old woman from Appleton was arrested without any further incident.
