Responding deputies and firefighters attempted to reach the vehicle but were unsuccessful due to the vehicle’s depth as well as due to the water and outside temperatures.

The Fort McCoy Dive Team was called in and helped remove the vehicle from the water but the vehicle’s driver, 64-year-old Anne S. Bagan from New Lisbon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office says they were assisted at the scene by nine other agencies and there is no other available information at this time.
