Police pursuit in North Fond du Lac ends with suspect at large

NORTH FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A late-night pursuit in North Fond du Lac ended with the suspect’s vehicle being found, but the driver remains unidentified.

According to a press release from the North Fond du Lac Police Department, at approximately 12:09 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, a North Fond du Lac police officer attempted to stop a vehicle with expired registration.

When the officer activated emergency lights, the vehicle sped off, and the officer lost sight of it. The pursuit was then called off.

The press release states that shortly after, police located the vehicle parked in the grass at a residence on Mockingbird Lane. Officers were informed that the mobile home was supposed to be vacant at the address. Upon entering the home, they found no one inside.

The vehicle’s driver has been identified, and multiple charges are being referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities assure the public that there is no ongoing threat.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Fond du Lac Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol are assisting the North Fond du Lac Police Department in the investigation.
