Ghoulish winds and a few showers this Halloween!

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Not the best Halloween forecast today, but considering that we had 1 to 4 inches of snow in our area last year on this day and a high of 40 degrees, the weather is certainly better this year! The weather story focuses on much cooler temperatures (yesterday was a record again), a few light showers remaining in our area, plus very strong winds developing again this afternoon/evening.

Rain accumulation amounts will be much smaller Thursday. Out the door, cloudy and breezy conditions with isolated sprinkles possible. During the late morning and early afternoon, a broken line of light rain could form again. Behind that, winds will begin to gust up to 35 or 45 miles per hour (possibly into WIND ADVISORY territory)! High temperatures will be in the upper 50s.

Temperatures in the upper 40s for Trick-or-Treating this evening. Most will just see cloudy skies, but there is a chance for rain, mainly north of the Fox Cities. Later in the night, snow will mix in with the rain across north-central Wisconsin where a small layer of snow could gather in the grass! The rest of the night, clearing skies with a chilly low of 34 degrees!

Sunshine galore for Friday, plus lighter winds! 49 degrees for the high will make it feel a bit chilly compared to the temperatures this week.

Saturday looks nice with mostly sunny skies and a high of 57 degrees.

More rain will return to Wisconsin on Sunday. Not a complete washout, but scattered showers could have an impact on the Packers game against the Lions at 3:25pm. The high is 55 degrees.
