MOSEL, Wis. (WFRV) – A semi-trailer that caught fire on Interstate 43 Southbound on Tuesday morning was suspected to be caused by an equipment failure.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a semi-tractor trailer fire on I-43 Southbound around 10:19 a.m. on Tuesday.

The incident was just north of Rowe Road in Mosel, and the officer arrived at the scene of a semi-trailer engulfed in flames. The Mosel Fire Department and Howards Grove Fire Department arrived, extinguishing the fire.
The fire is believed to be due to an equipment failure. The semi-trailer in the incident was carrying non-hazardous materials, as no injuries were reported.
No other vehicles were involved, however, all lanes were reportedly blocked off for about six hours. No additional details are available.
